4. PADDY MUSEUM (MUZIUM PADI)

Paddy museum is situated at Keriang Mountain (Gunung Keriang), 8km length from the city of Alor Setar, Kedah.

The building is designed to look like a bundle of paddy stalks. It consists of the main building and six other secondary building surrounding it.

The museum has three levels:

Level 1 : The visitors can have an insight into the history of paddy planting in Kedah. Besides, there is also having a Cambodia area at level 1.

Level 2 : This level has six galleries and exhibits drawings that depict the agricultural activities.

Level 3 : A mural which is 8 meters high and 103 meters length that shows the panoramic view of the traditional village and lush paddy fields can be watched at level 3 by climbing 59 steps. Visitors can feel that they have reached the peak of Keriang Mountain because they can be definitely enthralled by the panoramic view of the process of paddy planting from land preparation up to havesting in the form of mural and landscape.

Besides, there is also having souvenir shop at level 1.
